    Hello all,

Is there a thread talking about puffer fishes and shrimps? i want to know more about them.. Can you, reader, please give me the link, so i can read up? Thanks a lot to you.

I'm planning to buy crystal red shrimps soon. Ermm.. Is it hard to rear? Is it the same as cherry shrimps? They cost $5 each and i ought to consider and know their habitat and life style before i buy blindly and waste all my money..

My new tank will be about 20cm by 15cm by 25cm...
It's a very small tank. and i plan to only plant with christmas moss..

    Please advice.. thanks a lot.

    Alvin

Hi everyone... I'm about to buy a pack of bumblebee shrimps this coming Wednesday or so.. PLease, can anyone tell me if 20 shrimps is too many to a tank dimension, 18cm by 13.5cm by 15cm... I kept on looking at the tank and think that 10 is just nice inside the tank.. PLease help me.. Thanks a lot..

Another thing, is that, if 10 is ok to put inside, i can transfer the remaining 10 into my cherry shrimp tank.. But, do cherry shrimp and bumblebee shrimp live well together?

Lastly, what is the meaning of critters? i always see the latter word inside this forum and i really don't know the meaning..

    Thanks a lot,
    Alvin

IMHO, 20 shrimps should be fine!
However, do watch if you shrimps are fast-breeding, as soon your tank might be crowded with shrimps!

Most shrimps do live well with other species!

I believe it refer to all the small living creatures in in the tank!

    Hello..

For getting rid of the snails.. You can use crown loach or another type of puffer fish which is a community tank one, Harmless to fishes.. I heard from my friend that, by adding badis badis to shrimp tank is good. Is that true? Please do advice...

I've just bought 20 blue shrimps yesterday... Don't know if they are doing well.. Some of them kept swimming up and down, some, gasping on the water... Don't know if i didn't introduce them properly into the tank correctly..

If you dun intend to breed shrimps in your tank, adding badis badis is okay. But adding a puffer is not highly recommended as once the snail supply runs dry, they will start nipping the tails of the fishes and small shrimps.

If yr blue shrimps are over active that is swimming up and down, it is an indication of possible casulty. Check yr water parameters and temperature.

put in puffer to clear up the snails. when you are confident the puffer are done with the job, remove it and load in your shrimps.
