Feed what to newly bought Cardinals?

Bought some Cardinals about a week ago. Tried feeding then fresh worms (not frozen bloodworms) but they dun eat. Swam away from the worms instead! I dunno if it's because they are not stable yet but they have started swimming around in the foreground of my tank. Tried dried fishfood but dun sink down and they are mid-bottom level feeders. Any suggestions on what they will eat?

They should take to crushed flakes readily, but if all else fails, BBS should do the trick!
