I want to learn different kind of photography.....especially the portraiture photography. Last night I was trying something which is too challenging to me....night portraiture!!!

Without an external flash light, I was using flash compensation (+1EV) to brighten up the object (Jane, the model). It was pretty hard especially I had to think how to ask Jane to pose for the camera naturally....phew, I was swaeting last night but yet, it was fun!

    Hey Mikey, nice model

you can check out the portraits forum at clubsnap. I think the real problem you are having is that you couldn't decide whether to shoot the lady or the scenery!

take the last pix, I think if you position her in the centre of the corridor and use the column and wall to frame her, shoot in a vertical format, closer up, could be quite good.

also very important in portratures, you need some lighting or side flash to create a "catchlight" in the model's eyes. that gives life to the portrait. most important thing to remember in portraits, the EYES must be in focus (unless you intended it that way, which seldom work).

but hey, nice effort and nice model, ooo I mentioned that before already right?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

These taken with the D50? What's your accessment of the set? I have seen it, but didn't have a chance to get a hands on experience with it. Did you try your friend's D70 too?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
