I don't know what is the name for it (dragonfly nymph or whatever) but until people reply you, I'll just say don't worry, fish them out and dispose of them.
I have about 3 of this thing hiding in my hairgrasses. Anyone knows wat is it? Dun seem to attack anything in my tank and doesnt swim out of the HG. Pic is blur coz taken from a lousy HP cam. Added in the eyes, legs and the 3-prong tail. Swims by twisting its body sideways.
Why don't you sit on this?! ..|..

Hmm.... Wonder if they make good fishfood![]()

See if you can get a clearer pic of it... If it is a dragonfly/damselfly nymph, then it will NOT be fish food... It will FEED ON your fish... Unless of course, you have fish that are much bigger than it...
Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/
I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted!), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted!
), C.tonkinensis(Melted!
), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
If it has legs like you said, then its probably some kind of an aquatic nymph or larva of an insect. You should fish them out and put them in a separate container. Without a clearer pic we won't positively know what it is but just to be safe, remove it for the sake of your other tank inhabitants.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
if its tail looks feathery like then its a damselfly nymph.. dragonfly nymphs have no "tail" sticking out.. taht being said.. those are actually its gills. But whatever it is.. take it out.. or you might find missing shrimps and fishes..![]()
