    hi
got the four vallanti from eco recently and this pair seems to be doing mating dance?

this tank is heavily planted with java fern and a guru firend of mine helped to setup last year.

    the specs are:
    light: 8X36W
    co2: ph 6.3-6.5, kh 3
    weekly dosage: using EI method, 20ppm kno3, 50ppm k2so4, 2ppm kh2p04, 30 ml excel, 40ml trace, 4 bottle cup of liquid iron.

seems like java fern needs lots of k, had problems of holes in new leaves before i doubled the dosage.

    cheers

    Nice tank!

I can't see close enough, but the only flaw I see here is the foreground area. It doesn't work for me somehow, kind of weird to have everything so lush and then suddenly you see sparse-ness in the front.

    hi

the tank is 4 by 2 by 2.

cant remember the name of the red plant, but it is the common type readily available in lfs for two dollars a pot.

as for the forground, i have tried hairgrass and tenellus both but fails to propagate, dont know why. may try something later.

    cheers

to add to terence's comment, if you want leave the foreground bare and not too much plants, some nice rock, anubias nanas and river-sand would look good
