    hello all

I intend to buy a 2nd hand chiller, where the previous owner uses for his marine tank. I was wondering can i use for my planted tank? If yes, what should i do before using it?

    Thanks for your advise..

    Regards

Other then running fresh water through it to flush out any minerals, I can't really think of other things to do with it.

Agreed. My friends who have used Ex marine chillers for freshwater did the same thing. No problems so far.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

    Cheers,
It should be no problem, just used one marine chiller for my friend's planted tank. Running for a week already. So far so good. Just flush with freshwater to clean the chiller.
