i use tetrabits
I am trying Cichlid Food from Aquadine but those guys just won't eat. They only want live worms. Any suggestions to ween them?? Perhaps can starve them for a day or two? But too soft-hearted lah.
Cheers

I use Nikishi Cichlid Pellets...
Mez
Currently keeping many wild betta species and other anabantoids.
tetra bits is my first choice
the main reason being they dont expand so much in water as some other brands too.
the only fault i find with it is the small size of the pellets...but again thats coz i keep larger fish.
JBL novo stick M is also excellent. the size is good, it doesnt cloud water and it is a very reliable brand to start with. It is true that in fish food, brand and price and reliability and quality does go together to a certain extent.
hi LSZ
which tetrabit do you use as they have afew types.

The original one
that is more than good enough and i dont see the need to pay more for anything else.
Just one thing ..
just came across an article by jack wattley, that some bloodworms may not be easily digested by discus, even adult ones. He mentioned that he had chosen eventually not to use bloodworms at all now.
and also, frozen artemia, if thawed and frozen again, will cause great indigestion problems for any tropical fish too.(TFH June 2000)
