Erm, generally people use Yamatos for algae control, so you could call them algae eating shrimp.

Hi elmo9959,
That is the flag fish, very effective in clearing hair algae. But can be a aggressive fish.

It seems pretty mild in my tank... Maybe I was not watching it long enough.
Think C328 has it once in a while... This fish is not very common here, but still can be seen once in a while... Sorry, cannot suggest where to find one now. Maybe can PM Wackytpt to ask if he still has 1 to let go. He was giving several away some time ago...![]()

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted!), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted!
), C.tonkinensis(Melted!
), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

Black mollies, if you don't eat them too much, will shred any thread algae, a real algae killer, being starved...
