Hi Sweet Angel! Singapore is a great place to holiday and live! AQ is fantastic and I was given the link by The Tropical Tank forum in the uk. Another great place for endless amounts of info

It is not easy to run this forum. Thanks to the moderators, who made this happened. For the Singaporean user, it requires alot of discipline to refrain the use of "singlish" and spelling mistakes (some loves to do it in purpose). This way it helps our foreign friends browsing this webby. This forum is fortunate to have Mr. Thomas Bar and etc. giving advise...Hopefully one day. Karen Randall, and Takashi Amano will provide valuable advise in this forum.

We are glad to hear that good folks like yourself finds this a condusive place. Whilst AQ is predominantly Singaporean, we do get a fair share of international visitors who contribute greatly to the resource here.

Plantas and Gratiola were two nice shops to visit for their nice setups and reasonable pricing; but they have closed.

KingFisher and Ecoculture are also nice shops to visit as the bosses are friendly. I am not sure about their current setups and prices since I last visited them at their old premises.

Anyway, I have met a number of very friendly and helpful hobbyists. Perhaps, we just need to get more organised and liven up the hobby somewhat...

And if you are particular and willing to pay more, the shop will order the more expensive items for you, including livestock (but in a whole packet). Just ask, or better yet, print a copy of the item you are looking for to pass it to them. I'm surprised that they can even get Juwel parts.

Whilst the shop does not have air conditioning, the great thing about it is the coffee shop next to it. Very often, I bump into friends and fellow forumers and we adjourn to the coffee shop for a cold drink, chat and later pop back into the shop again together. Naturally, the claypot rice and the lor mee is also an added attraction.

Lastly, no pressure to buy anything, no hard sell. Just browse till you are happy and if you don't buy anything, the folks are fine with it.
