    Hello all,

wow, it's been a long time since i've posted, all the functions seems so alien to me. i couldn't believe i wanted to post a new thread ended up deleting my own reply on someone elses thread (goodness, call that blur)

I've recently got 2 rams but one went up to heaven i guess it's due to the bad water condition or the fishes are sickly when i got it could be due to stress . Should have got 6 at one go, can't believe i'm still making this same mistake after so long. ( So long without fishes )

I've thought of making a come back keeping planted but seems it's not possible for the time being.
    Cheers!

Wow thanks, thats very nice of you Benny, yes lots & lots of lost time. Sometimes i just wish to have what i had before , anyway doesn't matter. I'm still unsure if i should continue fish keeping & planted tank after i shift. No more chapahlang room style , got to keep it neat & nice.

No more 6ft tanks of cos but i'm sure a smaller tank will not be a problem. keeping my fingers cross as lighting electricity is expensive

Got to get him a mate soon..
    Cheers!

I bought 4 from C328 two weeks ago and now 1 pair is going through a fair bit of mock spawning...they are not really any bigger (appx 1.5 inch) than the time since I got them , hoping they do breed though!

I was there 2 weeks back, i saw the rams but didn't get them, it's kind of small. The one i paid is 8 dollars per pc considering it pretty cheap for such a size. I've paid 15bucks per pc last time , but well that was last time.

I like smaller rams but i make sure i go to Toh or maybe a farm near qian hu . They mass breed them so i can always select a good breeding pair from there.

Pray hard that they spawn for you but thats the beginning of the cycle, raising the fries!

I've been ban from using the freezer to store bloodworm etc, so what are a good subsitute anybody care to tell an outdated me?
    Cheers!

Hi Ben, you should know you can get Rams from Toh Farm. You were there for Apistos too in the past, right?

Mr Toh said you even plunge into the pond to fish them.

Geez, yes i went down into their pond with a jump suit...the water was pretty deep bout 1.5m, waddling around the pond and netting some borelli. I might just visit Toh again if i got access to LCK .

It's been awhile since i've visted Toh the last time i went there was like 2 years ago when he gave up breeding rams but not for long i suppose being a lucrative fish to breed.
    Cheers!

Toh doesn't sell Apisto anymore. He has sold the Apisto to Guppy Centre further down the road.

BTW - Toh still breeds the Rams. His "bread-and-butter" fish. I still get from him lately.

Was at 328 yesterday at 10pm , no more big rams, was told all sold off but i don't think so. Anyway got myself a few smaller rams, ask for normal rams say don't have only got golden, balloon.

So i just grab a few golden a few balloons( please don't bomb me ) and i manage to get a normal ram. Now all housing in a 2ft tank , quite crowded i would say.

Nevertheless i'm still looking for a normal ram pair.
    Cheers!

    Hi Guys,

    Slightly off topic...
I wish to get 2 pairs of Rams for my 2ft tank so have some questions to ask before i do so:

    - Will shrimps in the tank affect the ram's mating or spawning?
    - Where is Toh's Farm? Can I just walk in and buy a pair from him?

    Thx

    Hello Benetay,
Nice to hear from you again!
Like Benny said, take your time.. do what you are comfortable with and what you like most.
I still remember you showing me the Apisto Paucisquamis from Japan...
How about starting back with Apisto huh? : )

Oh yes...the very beautiful paucisquamis from Japan is cool if i'll have a chance to redo my tank i'll make it planted with 1pair inside...& thats it...

Still like the paucisquamis but it's not readily available even overseas. Don't tempt me Yorky thou if it's readily available i'll just grab it. I wonder where else got paucisquamis..tropical garden? Those i see else way got no fight for wild ones...

    Yorky i like A.paucisquamis are you giving me one? :P i don't want a picture i want a fish.

Toh farm is at LCK if you drive there yes just go in and get a pair of rams. Shrimps got nothing to do with the spawning just that they might be attack by the rams. I think Toh's Ram are great just get those spawning pairs, confrim pairs.
    Cheers!

I used to see Biotope selling quite nice looking rams. Maybe you can call to check them out.
