Not very clearGot a clearer pic?
cheers,
got a very clear pic but the file size too big cannot attached to this forum.
personallu, i would feel that a black background is nicer...
i'm ADDicted to this wonderful hobby
hmmm... thanks to yr comment... actually for the background i intend to make a moss wall using java moss... but apparently i got not much of an idea how to hold the moss in place.. anyone can advise???

cheers,
woah thanks alot very good website... so any idea which moss grow faster java or taiwan or christmas moss???
Nice rock you have on the right.![]()
Personally, I feel that the size disparity of the mix of tetras you have is rather large. The Congo tetras really dwarf the Cardinals and Rummy noses.
Java moss grows the fastest. However, Christmas moss is generally preferred for a moss wall due to its triangular fronds.
thanks u for yr comments. but what's a congo tetra??? r u talking abt those zebra fish??? Anyway if i will to use riccia for the wall how do i go abt doing it??? or juz follow how they did it to the mosses??? Sorry ask alot of questions cause really a noob.
for a 2 footer if i use 110 watt of lights for it. will it be too much???
110W PL/FL lighting is way too much.Originally Posted by soulfinder78

This is a Congo Tetra, sorry for my poor photographic skill. I seen ppl using metal mesh instead of plastic mesh for riccia. Maybe it helps to grip the riccia more tightly.
Thats too much already (althought i m using 2 x 55watt too, but 1 of my 55watt PL is already very dim)...1 x 55watt should be enough for a 2 ft tank.. use 2 x 36watt if you wan to play safeOriginally Posted by soulfinder78
Too much light may increase your tank temperature which is bad for plants. If u didnt get the balance, algae will strike u

Oh! Those are Zebra fishes? They looked very much like Congos to me in your picture.
Riccia for the wall? Hmm... pretty unconventional but interesting idea.Would not recommend Riccia for your wall as the plant will tend to dislodge and float up from your wire mesh or securing threads. Moss fronds are also nicer. Let us know if you have success with your Riccia. Maybe you can spark off a new trend .

i see..... will keep u updated if i succeed... this is an update of my 2 footer
Pic not that clear leh, how about posting a complete front view of the tank.
Personally I would prefer a black b/g for this tank. I reckon you have to work a bit on the hardscape on the right, still a bit weak, adding nother 2 more rocks of the same colour and textures and more plants to make it thicker![]()
I would be interested to see how this tank develops...
hmm....point noted. but no more space for stone liao. maybe more stem plants... i intended to add alot of the same stem plants in between, behind and beside the stone to make it stand out. any comments???
IMO you can always replace the wood with 2 smaller piece of rocks, right now a single piece sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. Stem-plants in between the rocks might work, trimming plays a part also, alternatively IMO blyxa japonica always looks great planted betwen rocks and the stem-plants behind![]()
you might try that.![]()
The bros are right regarding the light, cut down to 76watts max, one other point is I would move the vals left and open up the area on the right.
sorry i'm kinda new. if possible can give me a pic of that platn u mention???
i dun think i will remove my wood cause got moss on it already. i like yr idea but maybe i do it for my next tank which is gonna be a 4 or 5 footer.
