Very very bad luck for me after using 2 Jebao (china product),

1st (jebao 301 spoilt and leak water after 7 months and I spent 3 hrs from 4am cleaning my siting room, scare my wife wake up and

2nd (jebao 61 100% same with jebao 3018 just change model no. spoilt after 3 months++. This morning out of suddenly the powerhead stop and no working.

I think I'll forever never buy jebao product again... waste $$ and time. I think jebao just cheating all the time by changing the model and packaging design cause even the filter look 100% the same. Don't know what model they will change next round. Damn piss off

Just a advise to all hobbist, got budget buy others brand than Jebao, I use 2nd hand eheim 2213 longer than Jebao 618 without any problem .. now I know what is $$ = quality.

Will call the LFS see what they gonna do to it else just use hammer to damage it to release my anger...

I've been using ehiem 2026 for quite a while now no problems so far. I've heard of ehiem classic series having abit of rotor problem due to the wear and tear of the rotor/magnet/plastic attachment. So far for the pro series, pro 2 series & ehiem wet/dry series they are working fine after a few years of continuous usage.

I've not use any jebo external canister filter before but i have a hang on filter also decommission after i gave up but they work pretty fine .

just to conclude, i've used ehiem over hang filter but i still prefer china or taiwan over hang filter.
    Cheers!

So sorry to hear your bad experiences... esp the 4am clean up leak event... *Ouch!*...

I almost bought the Jebao canister when I was shopping for a new canister earlier this year... C328 Aunty actually hinted that I should take Ehiem... Luckily I sort of understood what her hint was about... She always advise to avoid Chinese brands if we can afford others... She talked about one of her customer's pump from China catching fire before...

My friend also swear never to use Jebao's products... Think either a fan or a hang-on filter breaking down within a month...
    Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/

    I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

I'll encourage people to get eheim products even if it's a tad expensive. I think if we slowly understand that a trusted brand always out weights a cheaper product, i think we'll be on the right path.
    Cheers!

I've not tried a classic before but i've heard the "click click click " from the rotor section. I went to my friend's place to rectify the problem and i've found out that the plastic connecting all the parts together got loose, doesn't harm the filter in any way i think.

Just that it makes the filter a little noisy thats all. Shouldn't affect the performance in any way.
    Cheers!

Oh i c thks for the helpful info.

Last time I break the shuff (the ceramic stick) and ty to use the metal stick from my spoilt Jebao 3018 and the length of it is the same so it work ok just the "click" "click" sound.

I replaced with the eheim cermic shuff than sound quite but broke again when do the cleaning .. becos the cover once you open it a bit hard than it will break the ceramic accidently. not a good design lor.

so no point buy the new shuff later break again.... the eheim 2213 is in my cabinet so noise level low.
