the blend i use is beefheart,blanched spinach,bananna,garlic and flake.

chai discus beefheart always has some disease in them
twice it has killed 2 of my breeding pairs
sorry meant to say flake food, we had mad cow disease when i kept discus and they did'nt come to any harm,
possibly your butchers have'nt stripped the heart well enough , i do my own and being an x butcher i know what to look for, every little strip of fat has to go, did you know what your discus died of ?

Unless you keep several tanks, large numbers of Discus otherwise it is not cost effective to blend your own.
Your suspected "food poisoning" case is recent? I did not buy from Chai for many years because they impose min. purchase of 5packs. That is why I am buying from Fishio Tribe now.
