recently, i tried to up my co2 to 2bps, to try solve my black spot algae on my nanas, how ever i see a lot of tiny bubbles on my water surface...i know those of co2 bubbles due to poor diffusion via the reactor...

so wan to check out with u guys, wat type of reactor u all mostly use....i'm running a JEBO 835 (1000l/hr) on an internal reactor that has 1 bio ball inside (removed the air stone which originally inside as "mucus" always form up there)...

do u all reccommend 1) external reactor (those type of bell jar type) 2) the DIY type which Squee done up 3) internal reactor like wat i'm having but those long ones with 3 or more bioballs

which type has the best diffusion rate??

But those bubbles should be air bubbles from your plants, no?

The internal one done by Tom Barr is the best imho. Don't use mine... it requires regular flushing/preflitration to prevent it from clogging.

    Hi Taz,
Agree with Squee, I've been using that for the past month or 2 and the results are good. Did a little mod, I use a power head and join to internal reactor but I remove all internal medium. Very efficient in CO2 diffusion. Its a little bit ugly and space consuming but well worth the effort.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.

regarind tom barr's design, how do u fix the venturi tube at the h20 intake side of the powerhead?

been trying to figure it out... and wat did u use for the body of the reactor?

I believe Michael is doing the same as my suggestion at the Tom Barr Venturi Reactor thread. He is using one of the green internal reactors commonly available in the LFSes. It's not expensive and almost everything you need... just add a powerhead, drill holes for the burp and the venturi loop, and add a length of air tube.

Instead of a power head, you can also use the filter outlet, if your filter is fairly strong. The venturi loop justs connects the the outlet just before it joins the reactor.

You can try stuffing the pipe thru the intake seive/grill if there is one. There should be one... you would not want your fauna to get sucked in and chopped to bits by the impeller. If the holes are too small, cut.

Else, if you cut it to the right length, you can just jam it against the inside of the intake. Superglue, silicon(aquarium safe, please)?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    okay... thanx vinz...

tml might head down to c328 to ask auntie if she have eheim 2213 in stock... then also get the reactor...

btw, wat is in the box of a eheim 2213 other than the canister and filter media? is a rain bar a necessity as a outlet or is there another way?
