Assom waterfall

There are too many beautiful & very tall waterfalls near Sarawak-Kalimantan border. Assom is one of them.

There are too many waterfalls in southern Padawan area....this is one of them:

There are NO FISH at all at the waterfall area except shrimp & sucker tadpole (which looks a bit like Borneo sucker)

On the foreground is the giant ariod, Alocasia robusta. (The size of this plant can grow bigger than a man)





Bucephalandra motleyana - this species is a close relative for Piptospatha.

East Malaysia.....is too big to explore....I'll spend the rest of my life to explore & learn photograph....so that everyone can see the "heaven" over here.

How do you find these spots? Do you need guides or you just venture by yourself?

I am know thinking of whether we can do the same in west Malaysia. I just drove all the way up to Penang. On the way, passing through Perak I see that there are probably a lot of such places we can visit. But I just don't know where and how to start.

Do you have any knowledge about west malaysia where to can visit?

west M'sia also got lot of places to explore....but you must be careful of tiger & wild elephant if you are going too deep in the jungle. You can try Banjaran titiwangsa area....or Belum forest reserve in Perak (but got tiger)....

Sometimes I get the information from my outdoor friends....but sometimes on my own. I read the map very often....try to understand the geographical region....
