It's just a small, quaint shop in a really out of whack location. Friendly uncle and no nonsense policy.

    Cheers,
thats why it was such a shame.. it was like a jewel that you find in a pile of errr.. hay? Anyway.. went down to "support" uncle some more today.. came home with more Dennerle filter media and 20 Microrasbora erythromicron.

Nope, but I did take the last hatchetfish in there, along with an assortment of smaller fishes that included both tetras and rasboras. The other guys who were there took the other critters in the tank.

Wanted the last lipstick barb but someone reserved it so I had to give it to him. Took home the last two Bandula Barbs instead.

Thanks Choy, for the correction. I only remembered the named bandula something. They're a good size. I think I have a pair.

Anyway here's a rough shot of the larger one, female I think, with a rhombo barb close by. Pardon the dirty glass..

Too much for too little! What a bargain. I would have taken the whole lot if you didn't. Pretty, aren't they?

Their fins are beginning to colour up... Looks promising... Hope tomorrow they will look their best. They are in hiding now as my black skirts were chasing them. 52 of them! Was thinking ~20 of them would force them school better.

It seems like everyone who went there early "benefited" from the owner.

nice to meet you all again. albeit under less than happy circumstances. i must say uncle is very steady. i didn't ask for any prices. just selected what i wanted and gave them to him to tally. and he was very generous with his pricing.

    benny,
what was the name of the two puffers i got? thanks!

hope to see some of you again this saturday for the "window" shopping.

Just an update on the fish from CS... The Embers caused me to be more late (than usual) for work today... I spent almost half an hr in my 'morning rush hour' looking at them! They are stunning schoolers, though their colours not really out yet... I would have taken half day just to see them swim away from the SAE and the black skirts that tried to see if they fit their mouths... Thank you Mr Chua (and Benny too)...

Yes, Mr Chua is indeed very generous. Will try to help him clear his PL lights too later once I confirmed the make...
