I just got myself a bottle of Tropica's Master Grow... if I'm not wrong it's more of a trace element mix right?

I want to clarify on the dosing instructions... it's 5ml per 50L each week, right? Because I see 10ml, 100ml in brackets next to the statement.

Also, it says to dilute before dosage. Dilute in tank water they mean?

Go with 5ml per 20 gallon of tank water and you should be fine. You can play around with the amount if you can maintain the rest of the nutrients and CO2 in good shape but the effect is subtle.

    Hi terence,

we highly recommend u to use 5ml/50l of tank water at the beginning stage cos the water hardness in Singapore is less than in Europe.
Again, we also recommend u to dilute TMG with water first be4 pouring into the tank for efficient and safety practices.(u will mess up the tank if u accidentally overdose it).

i hope i hav answered ur questions and if u hav other questions rgding the TMG, pls giv us a call. thks.

Yet another question: I'm doing the EI. Do I dose only once a week like Tropica Mastergrow says or can I dose 3 times a week?

wouldnt that depend on how much each dosage is?? i mean E.I. doesn't go by 5ml of this or 10ml of that.. its more like how much (as in ppm) of each nutrient you put into the water.. isnt it??

Ya but since traces are expensive, I want to know if I should:

    1) Dose 5ml three times a week?
    2) Dose 5ml one time a week?
    3) Split the 5ml of trace into dose 3 times a week?

Because if I dose 5ml three times a week and I'll get the same results with 5ml once a week, no point dosing so often. Just want to know what PeterGwee does since I think he doses Mastergrow. I know excess is not an issue but this is a cost-saving issue

3x a week at high light level of 5ml per 20-30 gallon of tank water. If you want cheap, go with low light of 1.5-2w/g of FL. You only to dose once a week right after the water change.

If TMG is expensive, then get profito trace. 4L packing for ~ $80-90. For that volume on TMG will cost a bomb.

    I simply dose a lot of profito 120ml for my 500L tank , 3 times a week .

Claus has come here a couple of times, he said the rec's are more for non CO2 tanks.

I'd say that assessment is correct.
For CO2 enriched tanks, 2-3x the dosing is recommended.
    That is directly from Claus.

Add more light than 2w/gal, and then you will want to add even more.

5mls 3-4x a week for a high light, CO2 enriched tank for 20 gal is normal.
5mls for a 20-30 gal non CO2 tank is also normal.

More light= more uptake of cO2=> more demand for nutrients.
I've added well over 2-3 ppm of Fe from TMG without issue.

It is my preferred trace and has been for over a decade.
SF bay area water is much softer than SG water also, we also have harder tap waters not far away as well to compare with. Few places in the world have such tap water variations such as the SF Bay, USA.

You genenrally will require more traces in harder waters.

5L of TMG runs 50$USD in the USA.
Pretty good and in line with most other products like Flourish, it's 22-25$ for 2liters.
