Yeah, i agree. i've heard this many times from different pple...i've experienced it myself too. It seems that whenever monsoon comes (therefore colder temperature due to continuous rain), my fishes tend to have ich/white spots.

When I was little my clown loaches always died of white spot a few days after I bought them.
Now I know better and I slowly acclimatise the fish by using the drip method and the problem seemed to go away.
Maybe it will work for you. BTW My water temperature is set at 25C and so far so good for the 2 fat & juicy loaches.

if you try using the raised temprature method be sure to deep sweep gravel and add a small quantity of salt not really sure how much I think its like 1/4tsp per 5litres (lost my fishie notebook so not exact). Not marine salt or table but rock salt no additives. I found this our best result (and ironically the cheapest) Also try to buy clown loaches in a pack ie:3 or more preferably all that are in lfs together. I dont know about your shops but our specailist shops here tend to keep clown loaches in packs of three four and five in diffrentt tanks. That way they seem to be less stressed about leaving friends
