No one is aware of a 4th verticillate Ludwigia species aside from 'cuba', 'pantanal', or 'araguaia'? I've seen one listed simply as Ludwigia sp. on the Rayon Vert catalogue, but that is not it either.
Is there such a plant? I traded for such a plant, but I think it is likely Ludwigia sp. 'araguaia'. It grows very much like Ludwigia sp. 'pantanal' in that it does not readily sideshoot like sp. 'cuba' does and also stays about the same diameter as sp. pantanal. The leaves are bright green as well as the stem and the crown has some pink coloration to it.
I am quite certain that this is not the regularly available Ludwigia sp. 'pantanal'.

secondo me c'è una carenza di microelementi
No, it is not a micronutrient deficiency. I have also the regular form of Ludwigia sp. 'pantanal' in the same tank and it is quite red.Originally Posted by koda91

scusate se scrivo in italiano ma nn comprendo bene la lingua
It is two 14 watt T5 bulbs over 39 Liters. It is plenty of light to show the correct colors of plants.
io per la ludwigia l'aumenterei almeno a 30 w
I think you did not read my post correctly maybe. I have 2 x 14 watt bulbs for a total of 28 watts over 39 Liters. I do not speak Italian, but am using a translator online to read your posts.
I did have the existence of this species confirmed finally today by a friend in Taiwan. Thank you for trying to help me figure this out.![]()
hai la co2?
con cosa fertilizzi?
Yes I have pressurized CO2. I fertilize with Seachem comprehensive and iron and I mix my own nitrate/phoshpate solution from dry chemicals.
apparentemente sembra tutto ok
e allora quale potrebbe essere il problema?
That is what I mean. There is no problem. I believe this to be a variant of the Ludwigia species from Pantanal that stays green. I am told by a friend from Taiwan that there was such a species that was lab developed in the year 2003.
I am wondering how to decode..![]()

Do you mean you want to know how I am translating the Italian? I use www.babblefish.com and copy and paste it and select Italian to English.Originally Posted by barmby
I also know a tiny bit of Spanish so it helps a little bit too.
I see. Thanks.
