    How much damage will glossos, rotala sp "goria", crypt and elodea suffered without sufficient lights? My eballast decided to die last nite... Only be fixed after 3 days...

    Should be ok for 3 days. Just make sure your Co2 is off as well.

    why need to off the co2? to prevent co2 poisoning of the fauna?
    also would i do more harm than good by having a small table lamp as a temp light source?

    Yes, Yes, and Yes

    The NPK consumption will be less with less light. You are giving algae a chance to prosper.

    Three to five days wont kill plants. We did complete 3-5 days of black out for tanks infested with BGA. Plants are still ok.

    okie okie... i betta plug out my co2 tube tonite... juz cleared my tank of green spots and hair algae... dun wan them back...

    but can i keep the table light on?
