what is recap??
Extreme makeover I guess
Almost all plants are easy aren't they? Except for those expensive ones, typically they aren't easy to grow for the first time.
I plan to take away all Riccia and mosses. Perhaps start some hair grass..Originally Posted by |squee|

What nice big albino cories you have!!
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Ricca?? gone?? i dont think that will be possible SF.. once riccia gets into your tank..it NEVER leaves...![]()
Buy some more gravel, then go look for either nice rocks, or branchy driftwood, smaller diameter branches are better.
Plant as much hari gras as you can fit in there, perhaps Blyxa mixed with it.
You can still use Riccia if you chose the branchy wood, but this time mix it with xmas moss and tie both on a branch. As the Riccia pulls off ina couple of weeks, some is always left on the wood entangled in the moss. Looks good and is much easier to take care of.
Hair grass, main theme. Blyxa around the rocks, edges etc, and perhaps some Narrow leaf java fern(or Cyperus) on wood or in a corner.
You can sell the hairgrass, fern/Cyperus/Blyxa easily.

As I have the aquaclay substrate and not sure whether hairgrass would grow alright ?

You could always buy some kind of substrate fertilizer tablets and just shove them in if you think you need it. I think a lot of fellas like using "Root Monster".
OK, I would try. Thanks.Originally Posted by brianclaw
