Recently realised my moss doesnt seem to be healthy as before. i have a 4ft moss tank- mostly java moss, christmas, java, windelov ferns.

if i nt wrong, moss thrive even in low light, with or w/o fert is not a matter, as long as temp stays cool..

my temp 25.1(Morning w/o light) 26-26.8(whole afternoon with lights)..

i assume is the water condition(moss particular abt), my water outlet hidden at a corner covered with java fern.
Qns: isit the reason that lead to poor water filtration (WC weekly), am i able to do WC twice a week to slove this problem?!

Plants need nutrients...without fertilizer is plain rubbish. Our tap does have nutrients for plants but as time passes, it will get depleted especially in CO2 enriched tanks since uptake is more rapid.

Moss use only CO2 as its only source of carbon. Your situation sounds like poor circulation since its a big tank. Work on that and add a bit of KNO3 (1-2ppm), KH2PO4 (1ppm) and some traces if its a non-CO2 enriched tank.

i been dosing liquid fert weekly, abt 7ml(nt sure whether enough, afraid of overdose)
as for water circulation, i assume is alright, i can even see my windelov ferns' tips bubbling.

i assume could be water filtration that lead to poor water condition build up...(correct me if i wrong)

if i do WC twice weekly, isit alright

BTW this 4ft is CO2 enriched (Pressurized CO2)

I think you should just leave it. Some plants do better than the other plants in the same tank. Moss will slowly recover if time goes by. I have not heard of moss dying though. not to worry. Furthermore moss is slow grower, it will be difficult to spot changes immediately. But anything wrong with your tweaking, algae may just start sprouting like mushroom after a rain in the spring..

Don't fix it if it ain't broken.

i can see others setting up non-CO2 tank, without fert, their moss tank thrive, and even much healthy..

wonder dosing of fert plays a major part?! wonder my dosage might be insuffucient

They don't dose fert, but the plants get their nutrients in other ways, for example the substrate and fish poo/excess feedings. Need for nutrients is also lower since they grow so much slower without CO2 injection, so the tank does well without the owner needing to fertilise the tank.

Check all your parameters one by one: CO2 first, then NPK, then Ca and Mg, then traces, light, water circulation, temperature.
