Can even try the shops at Clementi block 328, but I do know NA has a huge box of these stones.
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where can I get the above mentioned rocks?
The rocks that I am hoping to find will be big and rounded in size (not much sharp edges).
Probably these are the few rocks that I am looking for in terms of shape and sizes.
If any bros and sis has any tip-off for me, do post it here
Thanks to Terence and Roland for suggesting me to try Nature Aquarium and Keong Seong.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Izzat

Thanks Brian, I did drop by C328 today, but didn't spot any nice granite rocks that appeals to me![]()
What I did saw next to the boxes of rocks and small driftwoods are huge pieces of bogwood, quite fancy![]()

i have been looking for good rocks for some time. quite dissapointed about the rock collection in fishshops. those rocks look sharp and fragile. dont give a solid appearing, like we see in nature.
i always feel little guilin is a good place for nice and yet free rocks. i see tons of rocks on that mountain but dun know how to route and enter. anyone knows there? maybe we can organize a field trip to discover good rocks.
Recently i went over to Serangooon North and i saw some really nice rocks! I can't remember which shop though.
Just curious, everytime I visit a LFS I usually check out the rock/driftwood selection.
To be frank, the rocks usually sold are those "clay-like" pale-coloured peices, worse-still they're almost rectangular in shape, every one of them!
I've not seen granite rocks since Gratiola (I swear!), and good driftwood as well (good bogwood in Singapore? I've never seen them)
Went to Penang recently and visited their biggest local fish shop call CTY. A 3 storey buliding ... really huge with a arowana pond inside too ! Accessories ..etc quite a lot also.
The rocks are nicely separately into each different kind in wooden carton box. At least 10 different kind of rocks. Price range is RM$2-6 per kg. Their collection of rocks is most i have seen anywhere.
Thanks Aquarius for the heads-up![]()
Terence, not really nice pieces of bogwood at C328, but there were like 2ft tall![]()
Aunty placed it beside the boxes of rocks, and yes, the shapes of Granite rocks in Singapore is not to my taste(Sharp edges and Awkward in shape)

Have you considered the nurseries along Thomson and Hougang? If not, I recall seeing Mainland Tropical Fish Farm at Lorong Harlus having a good selection.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
They don't have much rocks available at the Thomson nurseries... Mostly stuff for modular ponds.
Izzat... you joker. You are causing confusion with your custom user title. Who ban you from posting? Your gf/wife/parents?
For the rocks you are looking for, try Tangayikan and Malawi cichlid specialists shops.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.

Vinz, how about the place you mentioned sometime ago near Qian Hu, selling rocks and landscape stuff, they should have plenty of rocks there.
BTW, drop by the lfs near farmart(used to be Bobby's place but now somebody new took over)...see new arrival of bog wood there if you guys are interested, plently. Price range from $8 to about $28.
Not near QH... Pasir Ris, Mainland something. Not part of the Lor Halus grouping... unless they've linked them up with rds recently. It used to have to be accessed via a different route although it's in the same general vicinity as Lor Halus.

JC, that's not a shop name... I'm asking Izzat to try shops that specialise in Tanganyikan and Malawi cichlids.

If I recall correctly, there was a special shop at Tiong Bahru that sells rocks from Africa only. It's very near the market and the 7-eleven shop.
