I bought some red-nose shrimps a couple of months back and they looked like this:

But now they seemed to have lost the redness of their nose. Also some strips have started to form on the body of the shrimp, much like tiger shrimp strips. The striking red strip that was previously on the body is also no longer visible... :

Anyone knows why this is happening? Is it my water parameters or the food that they are being fed?
    Cheers,
    Joe

Sometimes they gobble on the fish food I normally feed my fishes (mostly pencils). Once in a while I would feed them zucchini or cucumbers.

Hmm... Tried some colour enhancing food? I feed shrimp food and Hikari Crab Cruisine in my shrimp tank and 1 Red-Nose start to colour up... In my 4 footer, they eat what I feed my fish and they colour up too... But those in my betta tank in office look greenish and bland and they feed more on fish corpse ...

Anyone has such experience too? Maybe it is more than food? Water temperature, perhaps?

    Btw, I like those stripes...
