Wait till you finished the CO2, screw out the main valve from the bottle and let the water out. In the mean time, you might want to put a non-return valve in between first. IMO, water in the tank will only cause rust with the presence of oxygen but it is a CO2 tank, should not be a big problem.

True. CO2 will caused water to be slight acidic. That's way get lower ph can be obtained.

With that much CO2 vs water, it's probably more acidic then slightly.

Anyway, just bring that cylinder down to System and Control Engineering (Aka Bioplast) at Blk 22 Boon Keng Rd. The proprietors should know how to expel the water safely and advice about the re-usability of the cylinder.

Or alternatively, bring it to an industrial gas/chemicals company like SOXAL or ChemGas (go look in the yellowpages, book or http://www.yellowpages.com.sg). They can help you and even test the cylinder for structural integrity. This will probably give you the most peace of mind.

Is the tank with CO2 or without?
Water shouldn't be able to seep back to the tank if there's high pressure from the CO2. Maybe to the regulator part only. Turn on the Co2 and flush it out again?

IMO, how about inverting the tank and let the CO2 push the water back out of the tank? pls verify with others on this idea.

Hi, Sam. U sure frighten every hobbyist and myself ! u know? That's Bad. Guess, u have seen alot of Jackie Chan's movie or some action movies.

If co2 tank is so dangerous, do u think we are allowed to place at home or bring in to MRT during transportation. The only time, it "explode" is when u did not install a regulator properly or you open the valve accidentally. The pressure in the tank will gush out Co2 air furiously.. When water goes in the co2 tank, the water will react with co2 and form reactant and which will render useless. At the same time, it will corrode the tank as the reactant is acidic. I do hope this can calm u in comfort.

Be brave, Samlam. The force is with you when u do installation incorrectly.

    Cheers.

Complacency is an extremely dangerous sign among Singaporeans.
Road accidents are one of the highest causes of unnatural deaths and most large scale suicide bombers uses car as their main mode of transport and "weapon", why are we still seeing cars everywhere everyday?

DO NOT depend solely on our government or any authorising sectors when it comes to personal safety, you need some common sense sometime. Consumers used to think that all slimming pills sold in Singapore are "tested" and would be safe to be consumed until some poor artist suffered a kidney failure. Ask yourself, do you want to be the first victim of such incidents too?

The Total Defense thingy is not just a short video clip for you to watch and forget. Personal vigilance is critical.

PS: I apologise for the off topic, but I felt a critical need to highlight the lacking of "sense of personal danger" within Singapore, including among hobbyists. I am a grassroot volunteer and its part of my duty to spread the words. I have no intention of debating this in this forum, replies are not necessary.
