    Hi guys,

    Need some advice.

I notice the black background is covered with greenish woollike stuff. And one of the driftwood is having the same thing. Unlike BBA, these are shorter, greenish and more compact. What sort of algae (I believe) are these and are they harmful ?

Also, on the gravel, small balls (1 to 2 mm) of green wool-like are starting to appear. Are these the same as above ?

Anyway I can control them ? My 2 SAEs are simply not imterested. My tank is about 2 ft, 15 gallon. Light is 54W. 10 hrs a day. Only add iron once every week. Water temp is not ideal at 29 to sometimes even 32 deg cel.

    Thks.

yes, they are algae. They are harmless but maybe unsightly. My yamato dun touch them, so I just manually remove them.

The only thing that can remove them was my flower snails. However the ones on gravel seems impossible to remove, so I juz syphon them out during water change.
    Cheers!!
