JC, i have a 2ft NO T5. The wattage is only 13W and not 14W.

And apparently, the light kelvin is 6400K and not 6500K. Not sure whether I am correct regarding the spectrum.

Hi valice, I read that some NO T5 came in 13W also. Not sure myself.

Anyway, whether its 13w or 14w, its still an easy way for us layman to determine if its NO or HO.

    Cheers

If switching to T5, would be looking for peaks at blue+red... How many Kelvin is that??
Think found your ideal T5 from Arcadia.

    I'm too thinking of switching to T5 systems. Current setup is 2 x 55w + 6 x 36w for a 4x2x2ft. Think of getting 4 or 6 T5 54w.

After searching all over found that osram produces such a tube for 6500k.
They label their product as Lumilux T5 HO. As usual 24W/39W/54w for 2ft/3ft/4ft respectively> For 5ft is 49w and 80w. Also product code must be 865 type with the x65 represents the the kelvin rating of 6500k. Don't get 830,840 etc as it is also available. But dunno available locally.

Some guys from another site tried to buy some PL tubes from them directly but was not allowed. Their distibutor is Penta Lightings :

    Address here:

    Penta Lighting Pte Ltd
32 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2 #06-15/16
    Sing Industrial Complex, Singapore 569510

    Tel: (65) 6484 9000 | Fax: (65) 6484 6636
    Email: [email protected]

Anyone here free can go to the shop to enquire the T5 tubes? Philips and GE also make T5 but only the 49W/830 types. Aquaz lighting anyone tried to get?

Click here for benefit of T5 : Osram High Output T5

Hope someone can help check it out for the benefit of all.
