The the female is yellowish, I think it means she's ready to spawn. How big are they now anyway? Looks as if it's about 3 to 4 cm.

Did any fry survive from the first spawn?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

It's very difficult to have 2 pairs of different species of apisto to breed together in a community tank. Even if your tank is huge like 6ft is really difficult. Harem breeding is still possible but not different species.

What i can suggest is that if you want to spawn them you can always remove them to another tank then re-introduce the pair back into the main tank so at lease you have the next generation before the parents pass on.
    Cheers!

yes, very difficult , used to have a pair of agassizii tefe and a pair of wild cacatuoides, each time one of them spawn, the other pair will sweep in and feast on the frys

We leave the option to the hobbyist but we always reconmmend that it's not advisable since they've very aggreasive behaviour upon spawning mode . Keeping a few males inside the tank should not have any problem just that you'll not be able to view their true breeding behaviour which is very interesting IMO.
    Cheers!

Yes i do admit it is quite impossible to breed inside a community tank and actual fact is i dun intend to breed them in the first place cos i have like 6 pairs of different species in a 2ft tank.intend to just see the colours and finnage but i guess most of the female in the tank is turning yellowish.guess the condition is just nice for breeding.i have 2 smaller tank for breeding and already have wilhelmi fries now.have to setup more tank as may be acquiring more different species...
