    I'm think of converting the 2x 18W T8 tube in the original light hood of my Rio 125 to T5. Any bro done that?

    You need to make sure that the T5 tubes are able to fit in the housing. If it fits, then you can modify them. But the only problem you will face is the eballast that will not be able to fit into the housing...

    Ifyo u see the last 2 pictures, the housing I use can fit up to 4 T5 tubes....

    I believe Juwel lighting uses E ballast. I am thinking if the length of the T8 & T5 tube are the same, i'll change the end caps and refit the 18W T8 to 24W T5.

    the lenght of the tubes are the same. what u need is to change the endcaps and eballast.

    Thanks......manz....ho say liao. Now just have to find the way to open up the Juwel light hood....need to look at the wattage of the E ballast.

    You will void the warranty of the Juwel Multilux lightset. Also, be careful of the waterproofing.
