My first serious setup of a planted tank. Previously i was only working on my 1.3 ft tank with Seachem Excel Flourish and Lushgro.

I decided to get a much bigger tank with IOS filteration. CO2 with electronic solenoid is also used. This tank will be mainly for housing shrimp.

The big patch of HC, Downoi and dwaft hairgrass is all from Teo during the AQ anniversary trip 2005. Hairgrass is complementary from XnSdVd because he got a big patch for himself and he gave me some.

Will do thanks. Actually this setup come with a underflow for the IOS. The bottom is a undegravel filter. You can see the tube at the right hand side with the sponge stuck there. Just in case i need to do some maintaince and clean the gravel.

It took very quite long already around 6-7 weeks for planning .. ordering and setup.

How's the progress of your new tank ? In your house already ?

Rock arrangement can be better imho Right now the rocks look weird to me. The emphasis seems to be on the leftmost big rock.

yeah i agree...maybe you should play with your substrate..undulate it...find it too levelled for any visual dynamism..but I am happy to see how this tank grow since I last saw you at NA

Actually I think the rocks look fine... They give the tank alot of depth and once The plants start to cover things it'll look pretty natural. Almost like a rockslide that fell into a river. Heh, nice to see my hairgrass being put to good use

As for substrate... it'll all be covered anyway so I'd put more emphasis on using plants to give that undulating look.

My tank is 2ft . The main tank is a 1.5ft cube because the IOS unit is 0.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft.
I got this from David. The guy who in AF. His nick is like Davidsws i think. He got advertise and got many good feedback for tank making. I'm happy with his service and he is very accomodating and listen to my funny ideas even though mine is a small tank.

Yes the leftmost rock is more attractive but i tried placing it in centre then the rest beside it ..etc look even more weird. Moreover, i'm using all the rock to create a wall so you can see my soil behind is much higher level compare to the front.

Got what you mean. Too bad with 1 pack of ADA soil this is the best i can come up with maybe i just need another 3kg ada soil for more sloping effect.

Will update with photo soon. The HC is growing well and i'm always trimming them to force them to spread horizontally.
