Yes. CRS and Cherries can coexist in a tank. Have not heard of any cross breeding before though.

Knew that Y618 sell CRS, price ranging up to $9 with $6 the least expensive, i suppose.

Anyone bought before?! care to share hows the CRS graded? Coz they are packed individually and their color and strips not visibly shown.

Cool...I love your sights...I'm currently keeping abt 8 of these crs..better grade, testing out the water...

Problem is I'm not comfortable in putting them into my 2ft shrimps tank, just putting them in a holding area in my 4ft tank(with lower temp due to chiller). I cant bear to put them into the 4ft, as I might loose them to fishes or cant account for them...haha

personally, i think malayan n cherries will cross breed. i was given a malayan shrimp and i put it in my cherry shrimp tank.. few weeks later, the malayan shrimp got pregnant... a further few weeks later, i saw a few baby shrimps tt look suspiciously malayan... aka dull grey colour but no prominant stripe at the back tho...

    Morning bro....
Malayan is impossible to cross breed with cherries...
As malayan needs brackish wter to hatch the eggs...
While cherries hatch directs to shrimplets.....

U can differentiate the shrimp eggs...
Cherries eggs are yellowish & bigger in size..
As Malayan eggs are very tiny small size...

Frm wat i saw, the eggs that the malayan was carrying were not small. they are almost similar in size with the cherries and yellow in colour. also, my cherry eggs aint always yellow, some cherries have green eggs.

That is not the point, point is, i had 1 malayan in a pool of cherries and the malayan developed eggs, not once, but twice before it decided to go to heaven... so something must have happened....

Disclaimer: i'm not a shrimp expert, i'm merely reporting wat i saw in my tank... yeah, now i'm really confused... pls enlighten.. anyone...

Me not expert la, only that i tried keeping many species..

So far i still love the color of Crs..

PH 8.2 is very very high, i not sure it harmful anot. But it too risky.
Rocks, gravels, shell, coral chip & etc increase PH..

ya i found out the root cause already took out all those white stones which happen to be limestone. now using peat moss to bring down the ph but i guess the limestone bring up the kh as well make the ph very har to go down
