    hwchoy, thanks for advert!

    yeah, yeah, my plant-cleaning dance:

    shower shower bath and soak
    next day change water, then
shower and soak for another day, then
    bath and shower
(this is especially for plants in pots & plants on wood, otherwise just shower bath and shower!)

and for plants from farm...[:0] sure must wash first!

actually i'm more afraid of snails...[]

normally, I just run it with plain tap water, trim a bit and start stuffing it into the gravel.

Snails? Actually, I was kind of looking forward for some snails in my tank. Seems like not much snails leh. Only recently I started to see 2-3 snails in my tank. Snails also helps in cleaning up algae right?[]

ryan, furan3 is a type of medicine, something like "panadol for fish".

i used to medicate my fishes with this many months ago. can't remember for what already, though.

if you read the label on furan-3, it's supposed to cure a lot of things
i've never had a use for it except when my neons had NTD, and then it didn't work

How does soaking your plants in furan3 help avoid algae? I have heard furan3 is a kind of antibiotic.... is it true.
