Cherry shrimp are generally good in clearing algae, why not consider removing otos?! they might feel more secure, chances of breeding be higher!

Cherry shrimps don’t lay eggs, they carry the eggs until shrimplets born.
If your cherry lay eggs, means something wrong, maybe your water condition is not right, or maybe something stressed the shrimps.
In my observation, cherry’s eggs are yellow, if they carry dark coloured eggs, maybe they cross breed with other kind of shrimps.
