Is your tank cycled? I doubt that the heat killed the fish/shrimp. Please check the water conditions. Prolly the it's NO/NO2 killed them.

it could oso be that u didnt climatize them well enuff...



did u just pour in the bag of shrimps when u released it to ur tank?.. also check ur CO2 level.. too much will cause the shrimps died of CO2 poisoning..



ok will check.Maybe it could be due to HIGH CO2 content. I had the shrimps in my other tank before I moved them, which had no co2 at all.

I think fishes like Otos r more sensitive to C02 poisoning.. usually they r the first ones to go in my tank the last time I had too much c02.. look at yr fishes, they will have telltale sign like (grasping for air near or at the surface)
