Eh? Isn't this quite an out of the blue kinda post?
Is the shop old, new, specialised in certain things?

Good to know that. It's just that some members may mistake your good intentions from the way you posted.Originally Posted by augi_ow
If you want to highlight a good service or good range of products, you should have included those information in the post. Not "Shop A good! Go there!" kind of post.
I may check it out too.

as long as the address is given. you can use www.can.com.sg to see a map
I've been there also.
The owner is a nice man, he told me he is selling his plants cheaply to compete with the more well known and established LFS.
Nice shop, but its small. Only 1/2 a shop.
I bought a log of mini pellia from him at $10 about 1 month ago.
Went to this place a few times before. Near where my in-law stays (street 24) if I remember correctly. The owner seems to be from China (if I'm not mistaken) The shop got many plants and has quite a selection for plants and moss on driftwood and wire mesh. Not sure about price for most plants but recently bought a pot of MM from the shop. Can consider this place if u don't want to visit Teo (Lim Chu Kang) as it is quite out of place. Can also visit JE217 (8 Star Aquarium) as it is also nearby (price for aqua equipment is quite cheap there).

I visit this LFS every 2 months or so, every times some new surprises to find new plants to buy. He carries various mosses, pellia, dragon claw, various gu jing chow including big long strain and vomit blood, downoi, etc. Some how he managed to grow them well using 10000K FL DIY light once I asked him, no chiller.
One think I don't like in this shop, this guy is a chain-smoker, constantly can see him smokes inside and always bad cigarette smoke smell in that shop. Probably he wants people to have quick browse, buy and go (just joking !).
Most of his tanks uses ADA soil and he doses ADA fertiliser.
I totally agree with that!Originally Posted by neon

Should I still go?
What time he close shop? I might wanna go and have a look tomorrow since I will be driving tomorrow...

When I first went to his shop, I was very impressed with the quality of the plants and his tying skills, the moss on driftwoods that he sells are well tied and wood selection is very good.
Some of the stuff may not be the cheapest but given the quality it's worth to pay a bit more.
Re. the smoke, I also feel that way. Maybe I'll go tell him next time I go visit the shop.
Re. 'China' boss. His wife is HongKonger lah. The boss Andy is a Singaporean.
Re. price. He probably need some money to keep the plants going for us (hobbists) so he charges a little more lah. What's the point of charging less but everything also don't have? No offence.
