Seiryu Rocks

Costed me a lot so far, I intended to have this tank setup this week but due to the holiday season my 400$ worth of equipment was delayed for two more weeks. This will be the first time I completely overhaul my 10g. Tell me what you think! Thanks.

Hi,
I think your 'left' is a little too conjested and the rocks are of the same size which makes it alittle too mono. Would be better off having just 3 pieces but in different sizes. But I can see where you're going with this, not bad for this effort. My 2 cents, enjoy.

Looks interesting. Don't worry about the delay. If you have waited so long, you can wait another 2 weeks. Part of the excitment is anticipation.

Anyway, keep us updated on the tank with plenty of photos. We would love to see it.

The main rock is too weak considering the size and weight of the rocks supporting it.

I'd try burying the supporting rocks in the substrate more, or cover them up with plants.

I am no expert but can appreciate nice looking tank.
I think the first one is better.
The second attempt, the rock on the top left seems out of Sync. Or out of tune....just doesn't look right.

Its a bit odd that it does not synchronise with the rest of the rocks. Overall view look like someone showing a 'Victory' hand sign....the two top rocks pointing opposite direction...

IMO the main rock is still weak, I felt it should be bigger compared to the supporting rocks

i think you need either a bigger tank or small rocks.

I like the second layout, more tension but something have to be done with the main rock, too sharp, try adjusting the angle ... replace the lowest rock on the right with a smaller rock or remove it altogether... the secondary rocks are too similar in size

Not bad, hats off to your Mom! I like this! Still find the main rock... but I guess if you have some plants to the back/right of it(near centre), eg. Blyxa japonica it would be okay.

Thanks Fei I just got the rest of my equiptment today and will setup next week, so I will be sure to post up the fianl result, who knows, I still might change it ...

i like her left and your right. because you need a stronger lead rock presence the top rock shouldn't have another rock that is facing the other direction to dilute its presence, since it is already too small.

My vote is for her left and your right too. Your's is good too, but I'd shift that leftmost pointing left background rock more to the right to support the main rock more. try!

I would suggest u take the right most little rock of ur mom's placement and tilt it abit higher so that it would look like all three pieces of rocks are lying down...

So it is abit of a morph between ur right and ur mom's right...

Valice, I didn't not have enough substrate at the time to focus on the right so I used what I had on the left which is the main focus and just doodled with the right. I will take in all you suggestions this weekend and begin scaping the final scape. Don't hesitate to give me more suggestions! Thanks so far!
