I recalled seeing the 1st AQ planted tank competition poster at the now gone choong sua aquarium

few years ago with the url written on it.

Surfed around for a while without being registered until 3 months after that...

Has been here since...

I was in AR and got to learn from many of the pioneers back then, then I switched off laid low and ran my tank 'El Natural' for few years, then one day out of the blue felt liked starting over, searching in yahoo on DIY inline reactor (the one project I never got to complete back then) and I found the sticky on this site, and then saw a few familiar names here.
It was really good to see how the scene had progressed so much, the new school concept, the high aquascaping standard... so much I have missed.

I found out about AQ after going to Koah Fong's website (found his site through Google) on his tanks and was astounded to find out more about this hobby. After browsing through his 'favourite' links, I located AQ and looks like I stuck here.. and somehow like it

Was recommended to visit this site by a friend. The URL name is so interesting that i learn it by heart. But at very begining i did not understand anything, but was looking only at the gallery.

After some time, AQ was down, and it was always always under constructions. Then somehow, it was back again one day, and here i am.

got here by pure luck while surfing for fishy infos
dun even know how i got linked to here
but boy has it been a find
chock full of info and knowledge sharing that i don't find at other online forums
helps that this is a very active forum with many posts daily and alot of ideas/events etc going on.

now a must on my daily surfing schedule

I was told about AQ when I was hanging around lfs - asking the shop owners more about planted aquarium and they refered me to AQ.
That was when I was a so-called planted tank guy..
