    Faulty Regulator Gauge?

    Bought a Dymax Solenoid Regulator(RX-121) from C328!
It works fine for the first month, but now something really puzzled me!
The neddle on the gauge shows pressure of more than 100 PSI!!!
Which is to say the neddle is already pointing far out of the range!
Would like to find out if anyone is using the same regulator and has the same experience!
My worry is that the pressure indicated is indeed for real and the CO2 cylinder might explode.
The fish tank is jus right above my head when I sleep!
Dun wanna sleep up to a terrible wet dream!
    Thanks!

Try this to release the pressure.
Off the main valve but keep the solenoid on.
Based on my understanding, the regulator has a membrane holding the gas in, so you try to release the what ever gas is in the regulator...

After all the gas is released, then you try to turn on the main tap again and see how. Hope this will help for now...

ps: I not using the Dymax regulator.

the cylinder pressure will be ~1000psi at room temperature.
chances of the cylinder being overpressure is very low unless it is placed near a heat source.
and normally cylinders and regulators have safety relief valves which will release co2 when overpressure occurs.

But given his regulator, he wouldn't be able to know the pressure of the tank... Am I right, evo? So I think he is worried when he saw his step-down pressure to be more than 100 psi...

Which could mean that either the pressure within the regulator membrane is very high or something is wrong with the gauge...

Hopefully Wild Ginger sees your post and give you some advice on it since he uses the same regulator as you...
