I've just changed to Amazonia soil and realized that it has been more than a week but the tank water is still chalky grey. I was told by Chan from NA that this soil do not requires to wash therefore just dump in ADA power sand and soil and start scaping. Please advise is there a quicker way to remove this chalky grey eye sawing water form the tank?

Sorry, what is a diatom filter? I've been changing water every 2 to 3 days but it just don't go away.
diatom filter = marineland magnum 350, or vortex diatom filter.
I suggest you just bear with it, and change regularly, and when you top water up, you don't pour water directly on the soil.

Minimum disturbance is the best way to get back the clear water. What i often do is add clear super by ada after the initial setup. within a few hours you can see much difference .

Oh yes yes i agree.. just be patient. I don't see the need to go for diatom filters. Once the filter media are filled with beneficial bacteria i think everything should be okay by then. Remember not to jet the output of the rainbar onto the substrate.

Give a few more days for the beneficial bacterias to do its work and it should clear up. Mine clear up over night as I use back most of the exisitng tank water and filter.

I personally felt that it is because of the dirt, dust and residue from the gravel.
What kinda scraping tools do you use? Could it be from the tools or force that rumble up the dirty or particles from the soil?
I was thinking of getting power sand to compliment the aqua soil, but just afraid that if i do, a few re-scraping and the water might get chalky.
It states on the ADA bag, that no washing is needed.
No scraping done. Just wait lor. Since you are having this problem now might as well introduce power sand and let the water to settle down for once. FYI, my is with power sand when I have this problem initially.

I have not done my setup yet, just gathering what i can now. Power sand could be the suspect, but it did clear up.
Will decide later if wanna get powersand or not.

Did you drain the tank before putting the Aquasoil and Powersand, or did you just dump it into the water like that?
If you did the latter...
If you did the former... then you must have poured in water forcefully. ADA's substrate systems achieve fast water clarity at startups.

I am also using the same soil and with a cheap hanging filter, cleared after 2 weeks and my tank is 2ft tank. also your tank is not heavily planted, which might be the reason.
