amazon is at jalan bukit merah
    blk 11
it is near the food centre which is near SAFRA (near queensway junction)

dragon home is at blk 34
it sells almost all arowanas but i rememebered seeing some central americans at one of the floor level tanks.
i did not take a good look at them but i belive they are blackbelts

they need a lot of space... so you should put this into consideration too.
whatever mixing success you may have now may not last very long as they grow

no offence, but i don't believe in buying fish just to keep them when they're small and giving them away when they're too big for you
especially when you know in advance that they'll grow that big

Why not? If the owner is sure that he can find good homes for them...
At least they have a better fate than soon hock. Some keep them till they are big, then deep fry them for food

Different people like to keep fish that are at different ages. Some like to keep youngs, some like to keep older fish. Both have their attractiveness.
I think the adopter will thank LSZ for raising up the cichlid. Most cichlids are colorless when young and only look impressive when adult. It takes a lot of food and care for it to grow to adult size

well what i mean is gaining experince in keeping the fish such as their diet and habits.in future when i have my own apartment i will not have any trouble looking for information of particular fish.anyway i only give my fishes to serious keepers only.

maybe it's just me, but i believe in being responsible for my fish
if i know they're going too grow to large for me to manage, i just won't buy them
    simple as that

vican, you're right in saying people have different tastes
    but that's not the point
what i'm saying here is that people buying big fish should be able to take care of them through thick and thin (which applies to all fish)
