It can be polished off, but a monumental task not worthy of it's cost from what I understand. Might be cheaper to get a new tank if it's a really bad scratch.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I think you can use Brasso to buff off the scratches if they are not too deep.
At least that was what I've done with my watch. It worked.
But!
Are the scratches on the inside or the outside of your tank?
How big (expensive) is your tank?
If inside, brasso may not be too fish friendly.
If the tank is small, you may want to consider re-aligning it so that the scratches are at the side of the wall. (lazy man's method)
If your tank is very expensive, then you didn't hear the brasso method from me.juz in case anything goes wrong.
Thanks guys for all the replies... my tank is a old 4ft which I've converted into a Marine Fish only tank but the scratch is on the outside... got it while doing rescaping![]()
Will try all the methods that have been mentioned and will keep u guys posted of any miracles![]()
