REgulator leaking...HELP!!!

this morning went to test my regulator for any leakage....cos i notice the pressure of my co2 tank dropping quite fast...from 800PSI (aft top up), to 200psi now....in like 2 months plus....

found that the indicated part is leaking....(using soap water test).

is there any remedy to this situation or any solution???? like silicon or wat..
pls advice.....

Unscrew that part of the regulator and re-enforce with white tape. Most of the time, it should do.
If it doesn't work, you are better off replacing the regulator.

Most regulators can be taken apart. BUT do not attempt if you do not know. It's best taken to the lfs you bought it from for help.

white tape or teflon tape may help.
else you may need to replace the rubber seal (if any) inside the joint.
if you are unsure of what to do, bring the regulator to a lfs for help.

and after a proper top up, the tank pressure should be > 1000psi.
so the top up may not be done properly or there is something wrong with your pressure gauge.

hmmm...icic.....i tried to dismantle this stuff....but can't....abit stiff.....
maybe brining down to N.A for repair...

more than 1000psi.....hmm...not sure izzit lfs top up fault or gauge fault, i top up @ Y618, should be no problem rite

i tried white tape too....but aft testing with soap water.....still leaking from that side.no other leaks anywhere else...

Did you unscrew the treaded portion and then apply the white tape over it before screwing it back again? It should form a pretty good seal if done properly.

thanks for the advice, just manage to unsrew that part and applied white tape over it...no leaks anymore......sad..a lot of co2 wasted on this leakage...gotta top up my cylinder soon....

before you top up your cylinder, weigh it.
after top up, weigh it again.
there should be weight difference due to liquid co2; ~1kg for every litre.

if there is no weight difference, then your cylinder is topped up with co2 gas only.

And when the tank is full, it should be >1000 psi!

point noted, will weigh it b4 and aft......anybody topped up @ Y618 b4... ( do they top up liquid or gaseous co2???)
cos i topped it up there last time...and it registered <1000 psi aft topped up. ..not certain if there's any fault with my regulator gauge or not....
