Can it do well if it isnt anchored into the subtrate ?
I am currently weighing it down on a piece of wood but its nowhere near the substrate.
it doesn't 'die off and float'
it floats and gets lodged somewhere else to grow ^ ^

are the roots touching the substrate?
ime even when it's floating it can still grow, but not as well as when it's anchored
Its floating in the middle of the tank , roots nowhere near the subtrate.
Kinda raising it on a piece of wood.
Not sure if it will grow.

I had my harvests floating in empty tanks (i.e. devoid of fert, fish, fish waste, filter, etc) survive for at least 3 weeks. They sort of go into suspended animation.
