I recently came back to trying APP after a long break. Currently, having them in a 3ft tank.
What other ferts do they require besides the usual? I know that they are nitrate hungry so how do you supplement that? Currently, I'm using JBL Ferropol for all my tanks. Thanks.

Thanks. But is there any need to supplement additional ferts for them after some time? My past experiences has not been ideal, they tend to suddenly turn yellow after growing well for awhile!

that usually just means more no3
Is there just NO3 on sale? It seems that most ferts comes in a package of everything...

You can buy KNO3 in powder form from Dr Mallick's at Farmart. Then mix your own solution. Try using Chuck's Gadd's calculator to work out the mixture. Alternatively, you can get Seachem Flourish Nitrogen from C328 or Nature Aquarium.
You can also get them at all good plant stores like those along Thomson Road, or your neighbourhood one. I found KNO3 at Ang Mo Kio's nursery. Also can be bought at Nature Aquarium.
So KNO3 and NO3 are the same thing!![]()
I thought they were different....
Guess I didn't study hard enough for Chemistry when I was in Secondary school...![]()

No they're different! But we refer to the same product. KNO3 is potassium nitrate, NO3 is nitrate ion.
Usually we just say add nitrate, which usually means add KNO3.
Ah... I see I see. I know where to get that now. Thanks.
