The PRO 3, according to the company, features a prefilter on the top that collects larger debris (which can be cleaned without disturbing the biological filtration media below), offers longer periods in between cleanings, a self-priming button (no more mineral water for you, squeee), a dual water intake for better circulation, cute little wheels for joyriding and a maintenance indicator that gives a visual check on the filter condition.
