Hey chris what is the big echi on the left?
taken without flash on P mode, so its just a quicky photo job.
I dumped away the foreground hairgrass. removed the hottonia, blyxa growing like a weed as can be seen. removed one of the driftwood and changed its placement.
tmr, I'll consider getting glosso for foreground, but I realise without the hairgrass, I see my corydoras more often.... so quite undecided.
I should also get some red plants and alternate them somewhere in the tank..
I'm not certain if the placement of the wood is ideal (too centered?) , or that I should hide it up eventually, its there to provide a little cave for the hundreds of corydoras and an ancistrus..
right side of the tank behind the tonina are growing a echi oriental and kleinerbarr.. my mother plant is growing two more children as can be seen.
Hey chris what is the big echi on the left?

The black spot is dead centre of the tank, not a good thing to have. The blyxa exhibits too much symmetry too imho.
Should work on thickening up the background lots![]()
I'll probably hide the blackspot... but I'll leave the wood right where it is so that it isn't directly under the mh. I just did a rescape earlier with some plants from fu wo.. testing out a couple of foreground plants a crawlling rotala sp (I think) and "dragon claw"
I've trimmed down alot of the blyxa as well.
the echin is a kleiner barr

Why does you tank always looks so cloudy? I know it's not when viewed in person. Light flare from the MH lights?
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
oh, the tank IS cloudy at the moment... after I tore out the hairgrass, the ada soil got everywhere.. took me 8 or so diatom filtering sessions + cleaning out filter and chiller to get it clear again. (like today)

other than that, its an issue with contrast/gamma/curves.
I'll retake tonight.. with some of my new plants in
Kleiner bar grow so big?? Thought it is supposed to be small
