Not yet... MR only. But still better then pre-MR. I know I'm still liable for call up, but at least IPPT is out of the picture. Anyway, if they ever call up MR, either somebody's up there has an itchy backside or SG is in real serious trouble.

My platton mates say they are much more comfortable then the older ones. I still have SAF$200+ to spend. I could do with a nice pair of hiking boots, some shorts for homewear, running shoes, and maybe sandals.

Mine-proof boots? I don't think its any comfort for my family to receive my feet and ankles intact if I ever step on a mine.

Actually, I have to admit I do enjoy my ICT. The field exercises are tough, but the comraderie and fun experienced with old kakis more then make up for it. I just dread IPPT and during the more recent years... RT.

I will definitely miss my platoon mates. The tough and "crappy" times spent together forms a bond that is hard to find elsewhere.

haiz last time train there never bother to look for fish. in fact I was more concern my hokkien soldier's heirlooms get bitten by soft-shelled turtles when they go bathing in the reservior. anyway armour don't train in area A and B leh. Only years later we do river-crossing in Poyan, otherwise the furthest south we go is Tg. Skopek.

Looks like we are not the same, ur from the battalion side while I am from the Division HQ side liao... No wonder, our soft shelled turtles are expiring in Singapore.. entering into the endangered list... Quite a few of them became hard-shelled turtles after got excited while some of them see stars and u know lah..The Star tortoise... Guess, they are not introduced here.... The best about ICT are the field deployment..just like super picnic...
