squee, as you mentioned, my tank's water is beginning to clear . But still has a brown tint. My LFS said it's due to the driftwood.

Here's what i have observed with my tank so far - let me know what you think and what I should expect:

    1. Noticed little bright green sprouts from the moss.
    2. Lots of small bubbles in the water and froth (foam) on the water surface - according to LFS, it's because the water is not yet stable.
    3. A number of snails has appeared and ovenight, the numbers seemed to have increased. Trying to remove the whenever I spot them.
    4. Bought some shrimps (not sure about their proper names, but I'll call them as called by LFS): 3 tiger shrimps 3 bee shrimps 2 cherry shrimps.
    5. One shrimp didn't survive the journey home ... sigh . May pop by the LFS tomorrow to buy some more.

Yea it's due to the driftwood.

    1. Moss is growing.
    2. No idea about the froth (might be surface scum, search forums) and the bubbles can be from your diffusor (if you're using one) or the bubbling of your plants.
    3. Remove like crazy if you don't want snail infestation aka snails everywhere you see.
