Eheim 2028 issue

Hi all,

i have been using Pro2 2028 for slight more then 2 1/2 years now and i realise that the motor has weaken quite a bit. after changing the media and switching it to the highest flow mode, the white ball can only reach slightly more then half the mark.

Is this normal? What can i do to improve the flow rate?

Clean the rotor and the magnet. Scoop out whatever dirt that was trap inside. Do not fully fill the filter basket, i know of people who keep forcing the basket till it's so fully filled. Most importantly is clean the rotor area. If all else fails i think it's good to send an email to ehiem and ask them for help.
