pH for the A. elizabethae tank was about 5, sometimes below 5 if I didn't change water.
Soft water for sure as I use ADA Aquasoil.. no measurements for softness.
    Temperature about 28 degrees celcius.

pH for A. diplotaenia tank is 4.7.
    Temperature about 27 degrees celcius.

joopsg, last time iI know you're already very into apisto something like 5 years back ya?

I can still recall the time when forum members are actually queing for caca double red, but now we can't even see any reds around. Not to worry, there will always be considerate forumers/considerate breeders around to spread the poison around.

I was one of those wishing to get a pair from you. However at that time you were giving up on them. Finally I got my first pair from Biotope when Charles was still in the trade. Eventually I kept buying non-stop, until my mum cut my pocket money as I was still study and working part-time.

Then I was able to afford ADA soil for all my apisto and they did spawn like rabbits. Due to my schedule at time I lost the brood, but they recovered quickly and spawn every 2 weeks with my live food regiment everyday.

Whoa, pH 5, even with Amazonia (using the same soil). Your KH must be really low to be able to get such a low pH. Thanks for the input; guess it's time to drop the pH below 6.2.

His TDS is at 140microsimens which is relatively good ! Check your tap water and adjust accordingly.
    Cheers!
